Departing from the Port of Tallinn and major hotels throughout the city centre, a bus first takes you through the most interesting parts of the city, with stops at the baroque Kadriorg Park, Song Festival Grounds and the seaside district of Pirita. An experienced tour guide will provide you nonstop with commentary about Estonian history and contemporary life. The walking part of the tour takes you through the UNESCO World Heritage Site Tallinn Old Town. The walking tour starts on the corner of Toompea and Komandandi street. You’ll cross Toompea Hill, the ancienat city centre at the tower of Tall Hermann. From there, you’ll proceed to the Palace of Toompea that today houses the Estonian Parliement Riigikogu, visit Aleksander Nevskij Cathedral, and the Dome Church. On your way to the lower town, you’ll have a chance to enjoy the picture-perfect view over the medieval Old Town from a viewing platform before descending to the lower town. The tour stops at the Town Hall. The entire tour (including the bus tour and walking tour) lasts 2-2,5 hours. Please note that comfortable shoes are recommended.
Please note that there is no transfer back to the harbour or drop-offs at the hotels. The tour departs 365 days a year and is available in English and Finnish, during New Year period in Russian and during period May-September in Swedish and German languages. Price per person: 300 EEK / 20 EUR, child (ages 6-14) 150 EEK / 10 EUR, child age 5 and younger - free. Free with Tallinn Card of 24 h, 48 h and 72 h.
